Juvenalia

The lovely Alan Maguire and Sarah Maria Griffin invited Josh onto their podcast to talk about one of his favourite movies of all time: The Dark Crystal (1982). Expect chat about Jim Henson, Brian Froud, and Josh's book, The Shadow Glass.

Talking Scared

Nobody knows horror literature like Neil McRobert knows horror literature, and Josh was a willing sacrifice to this most spooky – and fabulous – of podcasts. Neil and Josh talk about cursed movies, Burn the Negative, Lorraine Warren and, naturally, Winona Ryder.

Books in the Freezer

As a life-long Friends fan, Josh was thrilled to be invited onto this fantastic horror podcast, hosted by the lovely Stephanie. They talked all things cursed objects, taking a look at books such as The Perfume, Gothic, Silver Nitrate, and one of Josh's personal favourites, The Woven Path by Robin Jarvis.

Moving Pictures Film Club

Josh has been lucky enough to be invited back as a guest on this excellent movie podcast a couple of times – perhaps he needs to try harder to scare its host, Tim Coleman. Check out their episodes on Stranger Things season 4, the entire Friday the 13th franchise, and slasher classic A Nightmare on Elm Street below.

Writers on Film

A journalist interviewing another journalist! Film critic John Bleasdale knows A LOT about movies, and Josh had a great time chatting with him about the film industry, while digging deep into how Josh's time as a movie journo helped shape Burn the Negative.

Confessions of a Debut Novelist

Lovely author Chloe Timms (The Seawomen) spoke to Josh about The Shadow Glass, covering everything from story structure and writing cinematically to the different ways of landing a literary agent.
